My name is Samantha (Sam), I'm 27 and I live near London in the UK. I am a primary school teacher and have been for the last four years. I love my job but it can be psychologically demanding, so this blog is a way for me to have a bit of head-space outside of Sam-the-teacher. You won't read about my job on my blog.
I love to read and have done since I was a small child. I've always kept reading logs and reading journals, so it was amazing to discover the book blogging community and meet lots of other readers who are as keen to discuss books as I am. Even though I do accept review copies, I am a no pressure kind of reader and read whatever I feel like, when I feel like it. My favourite genres are historical fiction, fantasy, classics and literary fiction. I don't read much YA, but I'm open minded to new genres and new types of books.
I've been book blogging for three years now and I love how much it has enriched my life. I love having this place to come to and talk about books and everything else, and I've met some great people on the way.
I'm married and have been for two years. I met my husband when I was 17 and in sixth form, and we've been together for ten years. For our honeymoon, we spent a month on a road trip through the Southern states of the USA and it was the best holiday ever. Recently, we bought our first house after years and years of saving. I have an older sister and a ten month old nephew. My family are very close and we all live within twenty minutes drive of each other.
On my blog, you will mainly see book reviews alongside discussion posts and some personal posts. Hope you enjoy your stay :)
Owwww, a tour around the Southern states is my perfect honeymoon too!ReplyDelete
