Maybe local businesses would donate books. You could have a drawing at every club meeting and give books as the doorprizes.Lesahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05102907186589066829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637440206562155541.post-90258118126685849402010-09-25T15:51:46.376+01:002010-09-25T15:51:46.376+01:00This comment has been removed by the author.Lesahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05102907186589066829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637440206562155541.post-37097693284171538952010-09-17T20:35:38.160+01:002010-09-17T20:35:38.160+01:00Congrats on the position! From what I remember as a kid, the teachers and librarians that most inspired me to read and love books were the teachers and librarians that were passionate about reading themselves. Also, I think even at older ages, kids can benefit from being read aloud to. Sometimes older elementary or junior high kids will try out a book that they might otherwise ignore if someone reads them the first chapter. Good luck with it!

Oh and I also awarded you the One Lovely Blog Award here: http://herbookself.blogspot.com/2010/09/bbaw-future-treasures-one-lovely-blog.html Congrats!lisa :)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11429572773434109490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637440206562155541.post-15334212485997828982010-09-13T21:22:16.629+01:002010-09-13T21:22:16.629+01:00@josbookjourney

The pictures would make a nice decoration for the walls as well!Sam (Tiny Library)https://www.blogger.com/profile/16375434438465319913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637440206562155541.post-73373803641814808382010-09-13T20:34:07.201+01:002010-09-13T20:34:07.201+01:00Well done on the position.

It was a great fun because everyone had a different view from their imagination of the book. This has always stayed with me - but I think at 32 I might be a bit older to get the crayons out and start drawing again! However sometimes writing timelines or family trees can be a great help, especially when reviewing a book.

Anyway, enough wittering - best of luck.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637440206562155541.post-27834317964880026032010-09-13T17:00:43.269+01:002010-09-13T17:00:43.269+01:00@noiashui
