I love that feeling of getting something new out of a book every time I pick it up. I also really want to try The Cricket on the Hearth for a breath of fresh Dickens. :) Andihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05220718933942181809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637440206562155541.post-52108642190735698992013-12-22T19:17:30.494+00:002013-12-22T19:17:30.494+00:00I'm so glad Riv invited me to read this one al...I'm so glad Riv invited me to read this one along with both of you! It's interesting to read your perspective as someone who's read it many times, Riv's who has just read it for the first time, and my own experience as my first "re-read" having only read it once before, far too long ago. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas :)Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03215797870829907924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637440206562155541.post-74601110738785384192013-12-22T17:20:38.253+00:002013-12-22T17:20:38.253+00:00It improved on rereading for me, I hope it does th...It improved on rereading for me, I hope it does the same for you :)Sam (Tiny Library)https://www.blogger.com/profile/16375434438465319913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637440206562155541.post-44376698227574249182013-12-22T17:20:19.865+00:002013-12-22T17:20:19.865+00:00Oh no, you didn't like Tale of Two Cities? I thought, when reading, whether I'd like to be in the same situation and see how people approach me while I'm not present, but I'm not sure... It has its advantages and disadvantages. I also have healthy interest into what other people think of me, but for some reason I come off as quite a conflict prone person (combination of some extreme views to world affairs plus straightforward manners or lack of diplomatic skills), so I don't think I'd like to see first hand what is being talked of me :D

I'm glad this story ends as it ends and I didn't write it in my review but I agree that Dickens would not have gotten away with this kind of story in any other time but Christmas.

Thanks for reading together! :)Rivhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04561804353287763337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637440206562155541.post-76847326771659616172013-12-21T13:49:45.622+00:002013-12-21T13:49:45.622+00:00Favourite re reads are so nostalgic.
